For the past 18 months, Rachel Cooke has expanded her book business empire in Rotherwas after taking on her late husband’s firms.
“My late husband, Andy Cooke started the book businesss in the 1980’s,” said Mrs Cooke.
“These consisted of AC Booksellers Ltd, and Bestsellers books Ltd. They have always been online book sales.

“Eighteen months ago, he died very suddenly.
“He had a heart attack, it was totally unexpected. I had to do CPR and he died in my arms.
“It was such a shock and I had to take over the whole running of the place.
“It’s an all-female team at management level. We have six million books that are sold on Amazon and ebay. It’s not a retail business.”
As well as her late husband’s businesses, Mrs Cooke has also set up Bestsellers Post and Fulfilment Ltd, as well as Rachel Cooke Publishing Ltd.
