Slater raises dog bite concerns with commissioners – Pratt Tribune

Pratt resident Jeff Slater addressed Pratt City commissioners at their January 16 regular meeting, asking for action on a recent dog attack at Lemon Park.
Slater told those present that on January 8, his wife had been walking their two small dogs (7 lbs. and 17 lbs.) in Pratt’s Lemon Park. In her first walk around the park, she had had their two young daughters, ages eight and eleven, with her as well. On her second walk around the park, the girls were fortunately not with her because they were flying a new drone elsewhere in the park. On this second walk, as she was near the pond, there was another woman with two dogs. One of these dogs, a pit-bull mix, was on a leash and in a harness. The other, which appeared to be a mutt, was not on a leash at all. As Mrs. Slater passed them, the mutt ran toward the Slater’s dogs and the pit-bull took off in…
